The summer of 2024 promises memorable experiences for the lucky children taking part in the Carrefour francophone Summer Camps! This summer, the Camps du Carrefour team is challenging kids to “Decide for yourself how much fun you are going to have today! After the success of last year’s camps, we’ve decided to repeat the same formula for the 2024 camps!
This year, we are ditching the structured schedules and camp-specific themes. Instead, each camp is all about free play and exploration in all sorts of directions!
This year, each camp will have several diversified and often renewed activity centers. Children will choose from all these options to fill their mornings and afternoons.
This year, there will be times for large festive gatherings, as well as small-group activities.
And like every year, our entertainers are skilled and enthusiastic artists and experts!
This year, the children could decide for themselves how their day would unfold!
A morning of photos with Madame Ali, a dance session with Monsieur Pierre-André Muila, or a day of rolling around in paint with Monsieur Nicholas Dupuis, the children were simply in charge of their own happiness according to their desires of the moment!
Each artist was on hand to share their know-how, while giving free rein to everyone’s creativity in a spirit of joy, good humor and laughter! And in French, of course!
We would like to thank Club Richelieu de Sudbury, Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord, City of Greater Sudbury, Employment and Social Development Canada (Summer Job Canada), Cooperation Council of Ontario (Young Canada Works), Ontario Arts Council, Théâtre du Nouvel Ontario, Place des Arts and Réseau Ontario.
Thank you to all the summer camp counsellors and artists, and to Janelle Dutrisac, summer camp coordinator, for your joie de vivre and dynamism.
And finally, a big thank you to our heroes: the young participants, for allowing us to share this wonderful summer with you!
The 2023 summer camps were a great success, thanks to you!
You can use this form to share your recommendations, tips and ideas for improving our next editions of summer camps.
Thank you very much!
