What could be better than an event where the whole family can have fun and create together?

A creative morning for the whole family.

The Carrefour francophone and Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario treated families to a morning of laughter, discovery and encounters.

A moment of sharing, laughter and creativity for all

Painting, crafts, making wooden boats and pine cone garlands… Children let their imaginations run wild, while parents shared these moments of complicity with them. Every corner of the room was filled with enthusiasm, laughter and unique creations.

Jeremy's craft workshop: creating wonders out of wood!

It is amazing what you can do with wood! During the family morning, the children had the opportunity to carry out some superb projects: they built wooden boats, made robots, and wrote the first letter of their first names using string and nail.

Make-up station with Desjardins

The make-up station was a great success! The children’s faces were aglow, and there was something for everyone! Thanks to the Desjardins team for hosting this superb workshop.

Natural art with Sophie

Sophie’s workshop immersed us in natural art, with creations directly inspired by the garden and the forest. We learned how to make art even in the forest, using pine cones. Sophie showed us how to make pretty garlands.

The children also manipulated dried leaves on fabric and discovered the stories told by cut wooden discs.

A great way to give free rein to our creativity, using what nature has to offer.

Slime and collage workshop

The children had fun making slime with glitter, a sensory activity that delighted the little budding chemists.

A shadow theatre exhibition

Parents and children also had the chance to discover a shadow theater exhibition thanks to the Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario brigade in the Galerie du Nouvel-Ontario.

This exhibition explored a fascinating aspect of theater while stimulating the children’s imagination. The lighting effects and mysterious silhouettes captivated spectators, providing an immersive and unforgettable experience.

A visit from Stan Cho, Ontario Minister of Tourism, Culture and Gaming

The family morning was preceded by a visit from Mr. Stan Cho, Ontario’s Minister of Tourism, Culture and Gaming, to Place des Arts du Grand Sudbury, who wanted to discover our beautiful building and the activities of its members. We are very grateful for your visit.

A star fence

The morning ended magnificently with Le Cirque des étoiles show, an enchanting performance that enchanted young and old alike. The circus’ acrobatics, magic acts and surprises transported spectators into a fairytale world, bringing the event to a beautiful close. The children’s eyes sparkled with happiness. Everyone was happy to have enjoyed this unique family experience.

The show was co-presented with Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario.

Carrefour francophone crowns Trillium Foundation support with launch of its Éveil musical tool

This is the culmination of the Trillium Foundation’s extensive support in adapting the centre’s programs and services to meet the changing needs of the community.
