Outdoor summer camps promise memorable experiences for participants. The camp team has a great challenge for the kids: “Decide for yourselves what’s on the menu for your activities!”
We’re happy to share with you the artists who will be with your children at the outdoor camps, and the workshops they’ll be offering.
Magali Alanis Rodriguez Beaudoin is a Mexican artist who grew up in Sudbury, Ontario. She will lead photography workshops using various printmaking techniques and incorporating video elements.
A Carrefour francophone outdoor pedagogical leader, Céline is a true nature explorer! Equipped with a variety of materials and spare parts, Céline promises outdoor cabin-building workshops!
Comedian, author, humorist and singer, Chloé Thériault is a true stage performer! She’ll be offering dynamic, fun workshops to introduce children to the various performing arts.
Acrobats, stilt walkers, tightrope walkers, jugglers and trapeze artists, Chris and Francis are true masters of the circus arts! Their workshop will focus on exploring the circus realm in all its forms.
For the past ten years, Michel Laforge has worked with sound in the theater, as a musician and on the radio. Are your kids interested in music? Michel will lead sound exploration and music workshops with a wide range of instruments as intriguing as they are fun!
A seasoned entertainer and outstanding performer, Monsieur André revives the conviviality of the beautiful songs of the French-Canadian oral tradition. His workshops promise lively songs to loosen up, to sing along to, and to dance to, in a festive whirlwind of fun and laughter.
A multidisciplinary visual artist, Nicholas Dupuis has long explored the various mediums of artistic expression. His workshop, “giant art”, will focus on body art, murals and totem poles. The result? An exhibition of works created by the children over the summer!
Musician and teacher Nicole Glover is a singer and musician with the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra. She will be offering early-learning, initiation and musical exploration workshops to all junior camp groups!
An artist-educator extraordinaire, Pandora Topp has received extensive training in art pedagogy and psychopedagogy. She will lead workshops in artistic expression through puppet play and physical expression.
Philippe Thériault is nothing less than a magic prodigy. Since the age of 12, his career as an illusionist has been launched at festivals, corporate events and shows! His workshops will focus on magic tricks you can perform with objects you can easily find at home.
Dance teacher and master choreographer, Pierre-André Muila combines the art of movement with the music of his native Congo. He promises workshops that will get participants moving while discovering music from around the world!
For the past few years, Sophie Leblanc has devoted herself to making products from natural and recycled materials with her company, Chemistry + Craft. She will be offering workshops exploring natural materials to create handcrafted dyes and fabrics.
