Kirikou and the Sorceress

From inside his mother’s womb, Kirikou cries out so loudly to come out that he ends up giving birth to himself. As soon as he’s born, the tiny boy learns that his African village is being terrorized by the beautiful but evil witch Karaba, who has dried up the spring and mysteriously made the men of the village who have come to confront her disappear. Determined not only to defeat Karaba, but also to find out the reasons for her wickedness, the brave and clever Kirikou sets off on a dangerous journey underground to the giant termite mound of his wise grandfather, the only person who can answer his questions.
