In the belly of the beast

Presented in collaboration with the culinary collective WeHideous, Larch Street transforms into a pop-up dining space where all five senses are on the menu.
Served under the open sky in downtown Sudbury: raw tastings, bold hors d’oeuvres, and signature bites prepared live by guest chefs.
All of it brought to life by a captivating performance from the duo Kora Flamenca, winners at the ADISQ and the Canadian Folk Music Awards, acclaimed for their stunning fusion of Afro-Mandingue and flamenco.

Kora Flamenca

It’s a LatinAfrican fusion as the kora, a 21-stringed harp, partners with the flamenca guitar. And it’s a virtuoso affair. Zal Sissokho carries the memories of the Mandika people with his impressive improvisations and captivating voice. Caroline Planté has an outstanding career as a pioneer in an art form long reserved to men only. Together, they transcend genres, borders and barriers. Their debut album was crowned best world music album at the ADISQ and Canadian Folk Music Awards.
