Edouard Landry presents Akeem Oh (Ouellet)

Not all great talents are great stars. Discovering them, despite their relative obscurity, is a keenly felt pleasure. We gain an appreciation for our environment, capable of offering such beautiful presences. We share the thrill of a brand-new performance. We experience a moment of beautiful guidance that wants to do good, just by forging a link.

It’s in this spirit that La Slague invites you to “Au bistro des découvertes“. This intimate concert series is carefully curated, with new talent personally recommended by seasoned French Ontario artists. Our old hands on the music scene are well placed to make good musical acquaintances, and like us, the stars love to share their finds with their friends. So be one of their friends!

Au Bistro des Découvertes, you’ll come for the good atmosphere, the good food, the good music, the good company, all under the guidance of the evening’s artist godparents, to create an intimate and convivial evening with their protégés.

An initiative of La Slague, under the artistic direction of Dan Bédard.

Edouard Landry presents…
Over the course of seven successful albums, our beloved Edouard Landry has masterfully crafted a rock songwriter of integrity. His shimmering musicality conveys a vitality that energizes without jostling. His lyrics cultivate a serene confidence that stands up to the anxieties of our time. Tonight, the creator of the albums Pomme plastique, Escalade and Forteresse introduces us to a rising star who is preparing his debut album.

Akeem Oh
Akeem Ouellette was born in Philadelphia and grew up in Mattawa, before moving to Ottawa and then Toronto. He made a name for himself on season 1 of JAM, TFO’s music competition show, but even more so with his indie pop gems, such as the danceable Winter Crush, the sentimental School Girl and the recently released Fomotion. His songs are bathed in an infectious youthful spirit, as well as a well-crafted mastery of sound that shimmers across diverse genres.

Discover our artists favorite meal from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., followed by the show from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

On the menu, his favorite meal: a soft shell taco with beef, chicken or vegetarian for the main course, then sharpen your tongue with a cocktail Margarita and enjoy a cherry cheesecake for desert.

**Please note that the ticket does not include the meal**.
