Outdoor summer camps promise memorable experiences for participants. The camp team has a great challenge for the kids: “Decide for yourselves what’s on the menu for your activities!”

We’re happy to share with you the artists who will be with your children at the outdoor camps, and the workshops they’ll be offering.

An Amazing Line-Up of Artists!

Ali Rodriguez

Magali Alanis Rodriguez Beaudoin is a Mexican artist who grew up in Sudbury, Ontario. She will lead photography workshops using various printmaking techniques and incorporating video elements.

Céline Kerampran

A Carrefour francophone outdoor pedagogical leader, Céline is a true nature explorer! Equipped with a variety of materials and spare parts, Céline promises outdoor cabin-building workshops!

Chloé Thériault

Comedian, author, humorist and singer, Chloé Thériault is a true stage performer! She’ll be offering dynamic, fun workshops to introduce children to the various performing arts.

Chris Thériault and Francis Tousignant

Acrobats, stilt walkers, tightrope walkers, jugglers and trapeze artists, Chris and Francis are true masters of the circus arts! Their workshop will focus on exploring the circus realm in all its forms.

Michel Laforge

For the past ten years, Michel Laforge has worked with sound in the theater, as a musician and on the radio. Are your kids interested in music? Michel will lead sound exploration and music workshops with a wide range of instruments as intriguing as they are fun!

Monsieur André

A seasoned entertainer and outstanding performer, Monsieur André revives the conviviality of the beautiful songs of the French-Canadian oral tradition. His workshops promise lively songs to loosen up, to sing along to, and to dance to, in a festive whirlwind of fun and laughter.

Nicholas Dupuis

A multidisciplinary visual artist, Nicholas Dupuis has long explored the various mediums of artistic expression. His workshop, “giant art”, will focus on body art, murals and totem poles. The result? An exhibition of works created by the children over the summer!

Nicole Glover

Musician and teacher Nicole Glover is a singer and musician with the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra. She will be offering early-learning, initiation and musical exploration workshops to all junior camp groups!

Pandora Topp

An artist-educator extraordinaire, Pandora Topp has received extensive training in art pedagogy and psychopedagogy. She will lead workshops in artistic expression through puppet play and physical expression.

Philippe Thériault

Philippe Thériault is nothing less than a magic prodigy. Since the age of 12, his career as an illusionist has been launched at festivals, corporate events and shows! His workshops will focus on magic tricks you can perform with objects you can easily find at home.

Pierre-André Muila

Dance teacher and master choreographer, Pierre-André Muila combines the art of movement with the music of his native Congo. He promises workshops that will get participants moving while discovering music from around the world!

Sophie Leblanc

For the past few years, Sophie Leblanc has devoted herself to making products from natural and recycled materials with her company, Chemistry + Craft. She will be offering workshops exploring natural materials to create handcrafted dyes and fabrics.

Important Information About the Outdoor Camps

  • This year, outdoor camps will be held at École secondaire Macdonald-Cartier and École publique Pavillon de l’avenir.
  • Children will be divided into two groups according to age: junior groups (for children aged 4 and 5), and senior groups (for children aged 6 to 12).
  • All junior groups at École secondaire Macdonald-Cartier are now full. However, we are still accepting registrations for the senior groups.
  • The cost of registration is $280 per week.
  • Outdoor camps start on July 4, 2023 and end on August 25, 2023.
  • Camp hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Lunches will be provided.

Themed Camps

Do your kids want to continue exploring the performing arts? We have two themed camps that might interest them: dance camp and theater camp.

Dance Camp

This camp takes place from July 10 to 14, 2023 at Place des Arts for children aged 6 to 12.
Participants will learn the art of movement through play!

Theatre Camp

This camp will take place from July 17 to 28, 2023 at Collège Boréal for children aged 6 to 12.
In the span of two weeks, children will prepare a real play that they will present to their parents on a professional stage!
