La Slague's ventures at Up Here 11 festival!

Last Saturday and Sunday, the Slague team embarked on an adventure to explore the Up Here festival as part of our partnership!

Find out what happened downtown over the weekend.

Who knows, maybe we had similar experiences at the festival!

By the way, have you tried the ice cream from Huckleberries Chocolatiers? Because we have… Aline’s T-shirt remembers it well.

The Saturday market

Saturday morning got off to a great start with a maker’s market showcasing local artists, along with family activities! Under the beautiful sunshine announcing for a great day, we enjoyed a nice cold lemonade from Saint Oliver’s.

There were many artisans present, with lots of handmade creations. We even picked up a few treasures for ourselves. We also won a surprise bag full of wonderful creations!

The friendly atmosphere, smiles all around, and rich exchanges were in full swing downtown!

An afternoon of music in the Refettorio

The day continued on at the Refettorio with a series of captivating performances, offering the opportunity to discover and rediscover talented artists.

The Slague team had the pleasure of attending part of the show by a group with varied and unique talents, composed of Connor Lafortune, Emilio Portal, and Mustafa Rafiq. Their energy on stage captivated the audience!

The stage then welcomed the duo Mèr, formed by Cindy Doire and Sarah Burton, artists we already had the opportunity to see perform in our Au bistro des découvertes! series. It was a real pleasure to rediscover them in a new musical setting.

To end this wonderful day, we stopped at Huckleberries Chocolatiers to enjoy some refreshing ice cream before heading home… even though, due to the heat, it melted faster than we could eat it!

Aline suffered the consequences…

La Slague and Up Here present Elisapie !

The festival’s final show was a magnificent co-presentation with Up Here, featuring the incomparable Elisapie on stage!

Before diving into the show, the Slague team had the privilege of discovering the sweet melodies of Bells Larsen and the powerful voice of Nadah El Shazly. They warmed up the stage nicely for Elisapie’s show!

And what a performance! Elisapie blew the audience away and transported them with her voice, her stage presence, and her authentic music. Knox Hall was filled with shared emotions and amazement.

We are very grateful to have had the opportunity to collaborate with Up Here to present this great artist in our community.

It was a weekend full of discoveries!
