The launch of the festivities is set, and we are pleased to invite you.

The highlight of our 75th anniversary is coming up: June 17 and 18, 2026, at Place des Arts in Greater Sudbury!

The launch of the celebrations features two festive days bringing together history, visual arts, music, and a launch event, in a program that is both commemorative and forward-looking. Two days. One anniversary. An important milestone to experience together!

Opening ceremony with Les Petits Chanteurs du Nord

The official launch of the 75th anniversary celebrations will take center stage in a production directed by Hélène Dallaire, presented on the stage of the Grande Salle at Place des Arts in Greater Sudbury.

For the occasion, Les Petits Chanteurs du Nord, our children’s choir (conducted by Anne Quesnelle in collaboration with the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra) will be part of the ceremony.

Expo idéale tours

The public is invited to the opening of Expo idéale, a major exhibition spanning three floors at Place des Arts in Greater Sudbury. Designed as an immersive and participatory experience, it offers a journey inspired by the world of the “Where’s Waldo?” game, allowing younger visitors to discover the origins and foundations of their cultural heritage, while offering older generations the opportunity to revisit their memories in an evocative and playful setting.

Damien Robitaille

Two performances of the show *Damien Robitaille for Ulatraviolet will be presented at 4:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. In this show, artist Damien Robitaille showcases his musical versatility, moving effortlessly between styles and instruments in a performance that is energetic, sensitive, and engaging. Accompanied by his musicians and directed by Laurent Paquin, he offers a festive stage experience where humor, virtuosity, and a connection with the audience come together.

*Duration of the 4:00 PM show: 60 minutes
*Duration of the 8:30 PM show: 75 minutes

 

Half-season launch 2026-2027

The second day will also feature, from 5:45 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the launch of La Slague’s 2026–27 half-season, marking the unveiling of the upcoming program and continuing the celebration of creation and performance.
