As an ambassador of Inuit culture, Elisapie expresses the beauty of the Far North. Her new album, The Ballad of the Runaway Girl, is the musical tale of an expatriate Inuk. With tenderness for her people, she sings of her origins and offers folk music that goes back to basics, sometimes sweet, sometimes raw, with her unique mixture of Inuktitut, English and French.
