Summer Camps at Macdonald-Cartier

The summer of ’23 will memorable for lucky kids who get to spend time at a Carrefour summer camp! Every day, they will get to decide something very important: “How do you want to have fun today?”

This summer, our series of camps isn’t designed around a schedule of weekly themes. Instead, each camp is based on free play and exploration in all sorts of directions at once!

This summer, we won’t have as many different locations as in the past. That means we can sometimes bring together larger groups of kids and create a big summer festival atmosphere!

This summer, each camp will offer several activity centres all at once, with many new additions from one week to the next. Kids will get to choose what they like best in a menu of options for their morning and afternoon fun.

This summer, every camp will include larger festive gatherings, in addition to smaller group activities.

And this summer, as always, our camp leaders are skilled artists and experts who know how to get kids into it!

Camp activities will be tailored to two age groups:

Juniors, aged 4 to 5 (10 kids per week)

The junior groups for the Macdonald-Cartier camps are now full.

Seniors, aged 10 to 12 (30 kids per week)

There are still spots open for the senior groups but register your child soon as the groups are now 68% full!

So, what you won’t see this year is our usual eight-week list of camp themes. This summer, every week and every day of camp will be a different experience!

This year, the summer camps in Sudbury will take place at École secondaire Macdonald-Cartier, at 37, Lasalle Boulevard, Sudbury ON P3A 1W1. We are also adding Camps in Chelmsford, which will be held at the École publique Pavillon de l’avenir, at 370 Côté Avenue, in Chelmsford, and will follow the same formula as the camps in Macdonald-Cartier.

We will also have a few themed camps this year: the two-week Theater Camp at Place des Arts, the one-week LEGO Camp and the one-week Dance Camp. Please note that registrations for these themed camps are now closed or full.

As we are a licensed program, we follow the Ministry of Education’s policies and guidelines along with Public Health regulations.
