There’s nothing more beautiful than seeing a community come together over a good meal and shared laughter. This summer, the Pavillon des tout-petits childcare once again succeeded in creating an unforgettable moment by organizing its traditional end-of-summer barbecue.

What makes this evening even more special is that it is entirely driven by the centre’s team: the supervisor, the educational staff, as well as volunteer parents and community members who give their time and energy. Together, they reach out to local businesses, seek donations, and prepare every detail to offer the whole community a simple, warm, and accessible celebration.

And the result was there: more than 150 people gathered throughout the evening to enjoy this beautiful celebration.

Activities for every taste too

The bounce castel

The bounce castel attracted many children throughout the evening. They were able to jump, climb, and let off steam together, while the parents took a moment to chat with one another : or even join in the fun themselves.

The face painting booth

A little corner that was very popular: with brushes in hand, the team transformed children into colorful butterflies, tigers, or superheroes. Each one left with a smile and a face full of colors.

Skill games

These simple yet effective activities brought together young and old for some friendly challenges. Whether trying to catch a duck or aim a ball just right, every success brought its share of laughter.

Water games

With the day’s heat, the water games gave children a chance to cool off while having fun. It was a space where they could slide, splash, and enjoy the end of summer.

The treats

Throughout the evening, a quick stop by the booths allowed everyone to enjoy a hot dog, a chicken burger, popcorn, or sweets. These little tasty breaks complemented the conversations and games.

This end-of-summer barbecue has become a true tradition at Pavillon des tout-petits! Every year, it is made possible thanks to the generosity and involvement of many people who come together to offer the community a moment of connection and sharing. A big thank you to all the volunteers, the educational staff, Lisa Lafantaisie, supervisor of Pavillon des tout-petits, the parents, and the community. It is thanks to your efforts, smiles, and commitment that this evening continues to exist and bring together so many families, year after year!
