Carl A. Nesbitt School
6 to 12 years

HEAR YE, HEAR YE! In this camp, kids become the builders of a long-ago world. They will imagine, build and populate a medieval fortified city. Behind the city’s walls and in the castle, how do people live, what do they do, how do they protect themselves against attacks? Each child chooses a character who lives or works in the fortified city and who will be his or her medieval avatar. Kids will ask themselves: Where do they live? How do they get around? What do they eat? Where do they get food? Which animals play a role in their lives? Using paper, cardboard boxes, HB pencils, colouring pencils, pastels, gouache and glue, kids will create a fascinating world.
